Washington State Driver's License Testing

Cascade/Open Road offers testing services for new and returning drivers to earn their Washington State driver's license. This includes both the written (knowledge) and the driving (skills) tests.

Knowledge Tests

We currently offer the Washington State written test in English, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Russian language versions. The $45 test fee allows two attempts at passing the test. Written tests are available, by appointment, Monday through Saturday during business hours.

Driving Test

Starting March 16,2026 we are no longer allowing people to use their personal vehicle for the skills exam. All tests will be done in our car. $70 for alumni students and $95 for the general public.
